Passion is the fuel. Consistency is the vehicle.

Having a passion drives you & thrills you. Your fantasies followed by Day-dreaming... thats what gets you starting. When you have a dream, when you take the decision &  determination to follow thru it, your passion can thrive you all the way, but for sure, there's no substitute for consistency.

Growth in any definition/form/shape is gradual & consistent.
Definition
To be 'Consistent'

-- marked by harmony, regularity, or steady continuity.
-- showing steady conformity to character, profession, belief, or custom.

Consistency:In logic, a consistent theory is one that does not contain a contradiction.[1] The lack of contradiction can be defined in either semantic or syntactic terms. The semantic definition states that a theory is consistent if and only if it has a model

1.
agreeing or accordant; compatible; not self-contradictory:His views and actions are consistent.
2.
constantly adhering to the same principles, course, form,etc.: a consistent opponent.
3.
holding firmly together; cohering.
4.
Archaic fixed; firm.

Remedy: You don't precisely need to know how to do it, but YOU CAN LEARN...

Disposition & Determination.

Self-Motivation, again, your passion is your fuel, setting goals is a great way to motivate yourself & keeping track of them in a Day-by-Day basis, is more!

Self-control on pressing down your distractions, on setting your priorities & on keeping your head-straight on your goals. *is not as easy as it sounds, but it isn't impossible either.**

Organization Skills, a writing down of your goals, set with realistic time frames & divided by days is a great tool, you can start with small goals.

Time-management Skills, work on the stuff & people that value your time, setting priorities is a great way to appreciate your time. Find your most productive times of the day & concentrate on that time frame to achieve your hardest tasks. Give yourself brakes.

Agenda, a pen, a "Goal" Board.
